Specifically, we need to collect thin pads, regular and slim tampons, as well as travel or regular sized hygiene toiletries for both boys and girls. We are also looking for deodorant, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, lotion, hair brushes, lice treatment, and laundry soap pods. We never have enough brushes either. We always run out! We haven’t received any donations of lice treatment yet and that’s a really important, much needed item for the kids with lice who’s family just can’t afford the treatment.

In terms of laundry supplies, we plan to send those home in sandwich bags kids with access to a washer and dryer but not soap. We also meet any students that do not have access to a washer and dryer at the local laundromat on Sundays so they can wash their clothes for the school week. Rolls of quarters would be helpful for this aspect of the project.

We are also on the lookout for socks and underwear for all genders and all sizes. Black and white ankle socks are preferred because they're generally more gender neutral, but we accept everything! When receiving products like these, we open up the packaging and break them down into Ziploc bags to distribute between all the schools and our clothing closet.

Another product that could be helpful would be makeup bags. We use these especially for elementary school children so they can use them as hygiene kits. We are currently in the process of making handout kits like these to hand off to school nurses. Our goal is to construct 1000 different kits for girls in this age range. The makeup bags make the products discrete, and all items going inside shall be travel-sized.

We are also looking for Office Max, Visa, and Department store gift cards. We do all of our printing at Office Max in Placerville. We would love to get gifts cards for there! All printing currently comes from any cash donations or from our own pockets. We also buy bulk products at Sam's Club and smaller products at Walmart. Walmart gift cards cover both locations. Visa gifts are amazing donations as well, since they can be used anywhere for some harder to find supplies.

You can also find more products to donate over at our Amazon wish list [HERE] or our Walmart registry [HERE]
