My mother and I decided to start Mj's Project as a way to give back to people in need. The struggles that many of these kids face hit very close to home for us. At a time, we struggled in a way that many of these kids do. We reflected on our experience and wanted to assist and advocate for those families who are struggling in similar ways. Through Mj's Project, we hope to get our local community involved as well.

Our mission is to ensure no child is left without and bullied because their family is struggling. We directly give supplies to schools in the area to distribute to any student that they recognize who may be in need as well as to any student that ask for our help or services. Students are allowed to take these supplies home with them and refill as needed. As it is now, schools only supply feminine hygiene products for the school day, and clearly kids need stuff outside of school as well. Mj's Project allows anyone to contact us directly, any time, to request aid. We also have a clothing closet in Placerville, CA. Any kid can come to us, confidentially, to get supplies.

We supply to all schools in El Dorado County.

We also keep a supply in our car, in our home and in a storage unit.
